Veronica Bisesti has recently caught up with Portland-based musician and “rock and soul troubadour” Redray Frazier. They spoke about Redray’s musical background, creative process, as well as his recent projects, including the latest release of “Better Man”.
Frazier was raised in New York, where music was at the core of his upbringing. Starting at an early age, Redray began singing in a choir at his father’s Baptist church. He was heavily influenced by his brother and collaborator Paul Frazier. During his musical career, Redray has opened for artists like Lenny Kravitz and Blues Traveler. He also toured with Talking Heads’ front man David Byrne.
Outside of making music, Redray is also staying busy with his new venture as the co-owner of Alberta Street Pub, bringing live music back to Portland.
Hear all about Redray’s music and projects below.
