We give you good news when we can. Check this out: A new federal report shows Oregon with job growth among the fastest in the nation. That’s right. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only North Dakota and Florida added more jobs in 2013. PRP news partner OPB reports jobs were added throughout most sectors – but not in banking, insurance and real estate; those sectors did not see gains. Government jobs held steady.

“The jobs recovery that we’ve been waiting to happen is finally here,” Nick Beleiciks, a state employment economist, told OPB. “It still doesn’t mean things are great in all areas or that things are going great for everybody, but that strong job growth that we’ve been waiting for coming out of the recession is finally occurring.” Here’s a link to the report.
