The Oregon Music Hall of Fame (OMHOF) is proud to announce their 2022 Induction Ceremony on Saturday, October 8th at the Aladdin Theater. Inductees include: Terrence Scott aka ’Cool Nutz’, Scott McCaughy, Stephen Malkmus, Storm Large, The Mayther Brothers, Kevin Rankin, Satan’s Pilgrims, Lewi Longmire, PH Factor Jug Band, Art Abrams, Clay Fuller, Mike Thrasher.  Esperanza Spalding was voted Artist of the Year and Album of the Year award goes to Portugal.The Man for their CD titled Oregon City Sessions. MC Tony Starlight will host the show featuring live performances by Minus 5, Satan’s Pilgrims and Lewi Longmire.

They are also very proud to announce the OMHOF Scholarship award winners. Each will receive $2500 for their excellent high school achievements and their musical ambitions as they move into their college careers. The winners are: Maxwell Friedman (Piano/B3) Bend HS,Adrian Hsieh (Cello) Corvallis HS, Kira Wong (Cello) Catlin Gabel and Nathaniel (Nate) Strothkamp (Violin) Oregon Episcopal School. The first OMHOF Music Teacher Scholarship goes to Amelia Kotamari (Flute) from Grant HS.

OMHOF was formed in 2003 to both promote and preserve the musical arts in the state of Oregon.  OMHOF began the statewide scholarship program in 2007 and is active in raising funds and implementing music education in schools that do not have music programs. Over 5000 kids per year are reached in K-8 schools throughout the state with the Music In The Schools Program with Aaron Meyer.
