The Bicycle Transportation Alliance has created a new infographic to correct one it released last week showing the ways bicyclists help pay for roads.

The activist group’s original data overstated the amount of general fund dollars that go toward road maintenance and construction. That matters, because bicyclists – like everyone else – pay into the state general fund, and the BTA wanted to refute perceptions that cyclists don’t pay their fair share.

The info graphic has been corrected – and the BTA shows both versions, with an explanation, on its website.
