Beekeepers will help you get rid of a swarm of bees, if you need to. The Oregon Beekeepers Association says bee swarming is “at its zenith” right now – during the end of April, and in early May. Bees are buzzing around establishing colonies, and we need them to pollinate crops.

If you spot a bee swarm outside, leave it alone: don’t get the bees stirred up. Or, ask for help. If you have an established hive or colony in a structure, beekeepers say you should contact a professional to have it removed.
