Sentencing is scheduled on January 31st for a young woman convicted in the hit-and-run deaths of two little girls. A jury unanimously found Cinthya Garcia-Cisneros guilty yesterday.

Six-year-old Anna Dieter-Eckerdt and her 11-year-old stepsister Abigail Robinson were hiding in a leaf pile when Garcia-Cisneros drove through it on October 20th. The Oregonian reports both sides agreed she didn’t know the children were there, but prosecutors successfully argued she should have turned herself in when she learned what happened.
