The Portland Band My Brothers And I, not so ironically consisting of brothers Erik (bass/vocals), David (lead vocals), and Scott (drums) Wurgler alongside childhood friend Jordan Roach (guitar) found early recognition with their debut album “Don’t Dream Alone” back in 2015. That album has produced over 15 million streams on Spotify which has led to premieres from Billboard and Ones to Watch. In addition, they have been named as one of KCRW’s “Artists to Know” and featured in Amazon’s “The Next” new artist program.

Since that debut album, the band has released a number of EP’s before dropping their second full-length album in May called “LOVE IS” only serving to add to their impressive resume. On the heels of that latest album, we find the band set to drop their first single as an independent artist, titled Anger and Grace.

“This song explores an ever-relevant topic of choosing grace over anger.” says lead singer David Wurgler. “Whether it be serious relationship struggles with legitimate hurt and pain, or a social media spat or differing political views, it is important to be gracious with our fellow brothers and sisters.” he continues.

This newest single is powered by the emotionally soaring vocals of lead singer David Wurgler. He delivers the lyrics with enough passion to fill a stadium and leave concessions workers in the back in tears. This is only amplified by the soul-punching deep bass guitar succinctly helping to elevate the track to that emotional level reminiscent of a classic Coldplay powerful ballad.

One of the most effective tools utilized in the song’s execution is the sonic ebbs and flow reflecting the title Anger and Grace perfectly.
