A remote camera in Vietnam has captured photos of one of the rarest mammals on earth. It is called the saola and scientists believe there could be as few as a couple of dozen in existence and no more than a few hundred.

Even though it has two horns, the saola is called the asian unicorn because it is both rare and elusive. According to the coordinator of the group studying the saola, “These are the most important photographs taken in Asia, and perhaps the world, in the past decade.”
