PRP Kickstarter

Why the revolution? Because we believe commercial radio has gotten WAY off track, and it’s time for change. It’s time for a new model of radio – a model that reflects and serves the community through music and public affairs programming. Connecting with the Portland community is our mission.

As you’ll see in our Kickstarter video, we have talked to many Portlanders who have already pledged their support to Portland Radio Project. We hope you will, too. The Kickstarter campaign will cover music licensing fees for our first year of programming, estimated at more than $80,000! It also will fund equipment we need to do live remotes in the community, which is part of our mission.

Join the revolution! Please give us a Kickstart! There are lots of great rewards for giving, and we’ll always remember you as one of the visionaries who got us rolling! Thank you!

Quite a few years ago, I was sitting in a house in a hill in Dundee, OR, and I learned there was going to be an “underground” radio station coming on the air at FM 101.9 MHz. And I listened to KINK-FM come on the air with Jimi Hendrix playing the Star Spangled Banner.

And now, I listen to Rebecca Webb and Sean Marten bring PRP.FM on the “air”. And I hope that 40+ years from now I will be listening to you guys and remembering this moment!
