The Panther has played host to countless local and international artists over the past 10 years. More than just a recording studio, it’s a space for both creation and inspiration.
Behind the cage door (IYKYK) is local musician, producer, recording & mixing engineer Steve Drizos. We sat down with Steve on Sounds of PDX to learn about what it takes to recreate this type of space in a new location, how preparation helps the recording process and what it takes to produce music along side some of Portland’s most talented musicians.
We heard a couple tunes from recently produced recordings – “Wild Ride” by Garden Flowers & “When I Find You” by Kathryn Claire – and got to know the man behind The Panther. ROAR!
