Drop-In Session with Cyrus Nabipoor

Local jazz trumpeter, producer, composer and all around awesome guy Cyrus Nabipoor dropped by the PRP studio for our latest Sounds of PDX.

With his brand new debut studio album “In Lieu of Tears” in tow, we were treated to a couple tunes – “Known Entity” and “November in Bergen”.  We chatted about the album making process and how the stellar group of collaborators enlisted helped in adding to the creative flow.  This 12 song collection is a must listen for jazz aficionados and neophytes alike.

“In Lieu of Tears” is available December 6th and in celebration of this debut release, Cyrus will be performing an album release gig at Strum on December 12th.  There are truly only a few tickets left (as of the posting of this blog) so grab tickets today.
