Meet a fresh duo making music. At it since 2012, but it’s all coming together very quickly now. Two thoughtful friends who are bringing some important ideas of equality together, at a time we require a reboot.
TWO WINGS EQUIVALENT IN STRENGTH
Saturday and time for Dennise and Trixie Pop! We crash the show with lots of laugher and conversation. And of course, a song. The name “Over Alders” was inspired by a quote found in Bahai scriptures;
“When the two wings . . . become equivalent in strength, enjoying the same prerogatives, the flight of man will be exceedingly lofty and extraordinary.”
Yet another great layer to peel back here in the creative nest that is Portland. Jason Henderson Amare comes from musical outfits like HEMA, and is a member of Ill Lucid Onset. Tiffany Mericle has worked by Jason’s side in HEMA. In her own right, a writer. (We will circle back to that at another time!!!) Tiffany’s partner, Josh, is the “record label”.
Jason’s’ partner, Rachel, meanwhile, is also a musician, but not a performing one. Somehow, it’s all working. We figure, Josh and Rachel will create a duo soon, as well. Enjoy the conversation and don’t miss a show with Over Alders and Ill Lucid Onset on 11/21/2014 at Macadam’s Bar & Grill.
