There’s a new controversy about school textbooks in Oregon, and it may mean textbooks designed to expedite students’ math skills will be postponed. If the Oregon Board of Education agrees Thursday, it could be three years before Oregon students see the new books. Ironically, that would be more than two years after students must take harder tests covering Common Core math. Betsy Hammond has the story at Oregonlive.
