Have you heard of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)? If not, don’t feel badly. It’s been negotiated for years behind closed doors.

A huge free trade proposal, TPP includes the U.S., Canada, and 10 Asia-Pacific countries. It would likely eliminate tariffs and other trade barriers.

But, before approving a big new trade deal, critics suggest critically evaluating the last massive free trade agreement, NAFTA – the North American Free Trade Agreement passed in 1994.
