What a July 4th bang for the buck. Fireworks at the largest show west of the Mississippi, Fort Vancouver is THE destination. Blake Sakamoto brought in special guest Jennifer Batten, for the concert. We got to know each other better on a hot Wednesday afternoon. Jennifer ranks among THE female guitar players . Right next to Nancy Wilson, Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt. In such great company. And Jennifer’s a great storyteller.

Blake Sakamoto has been the master behind the scenes, at this enormous fireworks spectacle for over ten years.. Creating a soundtrack for the fireworks show takes months. He began in January. And it is almost showtime. But first we sit down to dig a bit into the enormous talent that is Jennifer Batten. Enjoy our hang.
