A quintessentially Portland music event begins tonight: the Sundown Concert Series at Ecotrust’s Natural Capital Center, in the Pearl District.
The series brings together top local musicians with a lively street fair-style exhibition of innovative local businesses and nonprofits – including PRP.FM. The series provides a platform for “mission-based organizations who are changing the way we live and do business here in the Northwest.”
Billed as “an all-ages dance party,” Sundown kicks off tonight with the hot string band of the moment, Portland Cello Project. PCP, with its reputation for mixing genres, and blurring musical lines, epitomizes Portland creativity and “gives classical music a jolt of energy.”
Here’s the Sundown lineup:
7/10: The Portland Cello Project
7/17: Magic Mouth with BRAINSTORM
7/24: The Builders and the Butchers with Melville
7/31: Alela Diane with Lost Lander
