Thursday is the day we find out just what Oregon’s official legal position is on the state’s anti-same-sex marriage laws. Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum is set to give her formal opinion on two federal lawsuits challenging the state’s constitutional ban on gay marriage. She’ll file an answer to the complaints at nine am and follow it at 11 am with a written statement.

The Oregonian reports a state brief filed in December said there were “significant and serious questions” about how defensible the ban was.
