Listen to Biz503, the Portland-centric podcast for startups and small businesses, as we launch another exciting season of PDX-area business news.
Small businesses are the lifeblood of any community – providing the vast majority of new jobs, and comprising 99.9% of all American companies. As Forbes put it, “They reflect the rich interests and backgrounds of the people in communities across the country, and help drive American innovation and global competitiveness.”
In 2017 alone, Portland’s rising Maker Movement inspired the world-class Built Up Festival, featuring makers, brands and regions that together create Oregon’s unique consumer products ecosystem. And, Business for a Better Portland, a new business association, sprang up to address the social pains that come along with rapid economic growth.
To stay on top of what’s happening on the local business scene, and what means to all our lives, Biz503 gives a voice to local makers, thinkers and doers. Including notable business leaders as hosts/participants (below), the 30-minute podcast will air every Friday at 1:00 pm, beginning October 13.
