Proposed regulations for medical marijuana facilities in Hillsboro will be the topic at a series of open houses starting Thursday. The Oregonian reports businesses and residents will discuss the measures with city officials. The new regulations limit dispensaries to areas zoned for retail and require them to be more than 1,000 feet away from a single-family residential zone or multi-family residential zone. The Hillsboro City Council’s temporary ban on dispensaries goes into effect in March.
Thursday’s open house is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Ronler Acres Fire Station training room.
