Forget your career, the U.S. plays Germany in the World Cup
You would expect workers at the Portland headquarters of Adidas to take Thursday morning off to watch the U-S play Germany in World Cup soccer.
But what about the rest of us soccer fans wanting to root the red, white and blue into the Round of 16?
Well, the German born coach of the U-S team is helping you out.
Jurgen Klinsmann has written an on-line excuse note you can print off and take to your boss.
The note says the coach understands work place demands but insists they should take a backseat Thursday since national pride and honor are at stake.
Your excuse note can be found on Klinsmann’s Twitter account.
