Hollywood arrives in Ashland this week. Filming for the movie based on Portland author Cheryl Strayed’s book “Wild” is beginning.
“Wild” is Strayed’s memoir of hiking the Pacific Crest Trail on her own. It’s an international bestseller.
In the movie, Reese Witherspoon will star as Strayed.
Filming will require closing some streets and re-routing traffic around the Ashland Plaza, starting tomorrow.
