Alberta Abbey and Elevate Unity are co-producing several shows next month in celebration of Black History Month.  Jerry Peterson (AKA JP) dropped by Sounds of PDX to give us the scoop on all this amazing programming at the Abbey during February.

Feb 1  – Portland Legends Tribute with Shirley Nanette and the PDX Jazz All stars band

Feb 2  – Remembering Rosa Parks

Feb 14 – Valentine’s Day with Eldon T. Jones & Alonzo Chadwick

Feb 21-23 – Rose City Blues 2025 Blues Dance Summit

With new ED Cheri Jamison in place and a Board (that JP is very much a part of) ready for action, Alberta Abbey is “…lean(ing) more into the space that we needed to be for our community”.  Without a doubt, evidence of that is the stellar Black History Month line-up of shows.
