With their eyes focused on poverty alleviation through entrepeneurship in minority communities and distressed areas, MESO provides a unique and specialized partnership to each micro & small business it elevates and empowers.
CEO and Executive Director Cobi Lewis along with Celina Sanchez Director of Marketing and Community Engagement explained more about the organizations mission in our latest Community Voices segment. MESO’s programs seek to build stable and successful small businesses through services such as business classes, consulting and access to capital. They strive to provide entrepeneurs with the resources to grow their passions into sustainable businesses.
MESO – Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon – will hold its next MESO Makers Market on February 17-19 & February 24-26 at Alberta Commons in celebration of Black History Month. Not only is this an opportunity for small businesses to connect with each other, it provides a centralized experience for the public to shop black owned businesses and support local entrepreneurs.
If you missed our interview with Celina and Cobi, take a few moments to listen (below). MESO is a vibrant program built to foster the entrepeneurial spirit and wants to help you take your side hustle up a notch…or ten!

Veronica, you are a blessing to the community whose voices have been historically silenced or not given a platform. Appreciate you giving Milk Crate Kitchen a chance, so excited to continue working together in the spirit of collaboration and community! I’ve enjoyed listening to the MESO episode — excellent episode!
