Today we’re discussing the survivors. Not the reality show but retail survivors, local businesses that keep their heads above water even as so many of us paddle over to Amazon to order every product imaginable delivered to our door.
These are the record stores, bookstores, gift shops, and all the other businesses that were supposed to have died in the internet age. And certainly many have. But what about the others? The survivors? What keeps customers coming through their doors?
This week’s Biz503 hosts are Linda Weston of strategic consulting firm Rapporto and Mike Rogoway, business reporter for The Oregonian.
