Biz503 Podcast for Startups and Small Businesses
Fridays: 1:00 pm
~ News about the thriving startup and small business scene in and around Portland, Oregon ~
Small businesses are the lifeblood of any community – providing the vast majority of new jobs, and comprising 99.9% of all American companies. “They reflect the rich interests and backgrounds of the people in communities across the country, and help drive American innovation and global competitiveness.” Forbes
In 2017 alone, Portland’s rising Maker Movement inspired the world-class Built Up Festival, featuring makers, brands and regions that together create Oregon’s unique consumer products ecosystem. And, Business for a Better Portland, a new business association, sprang up to address the social pains that come along with rapid economic growth.
To stay on top of what’s happening in the local business scene, and what means to all our lives, Biz503 gives a voice to local makers, thinkers and doers. Including notable business leaders as hosts/participants (below), the 30-minute podcast is broadcast Fridays at 1:00 pm, October – May.
