Portland’s Japanese Garden is under consideration as one of the top ten gardens in North America. USA Today is conducting a contest among 20 public gardens.
We may think the Japanese Gardens are top notch–and they are–but it’s facing serious competition: Pennsylvania’s Longwood Gardens, the National Tropical Garden in Hawaii, Los Angeles’ enormous Huntington Botanical Gardens, and Vancouver B.C.’s famous Butchart Gardens are among the contenders.
