Mahonia Hall, where the governor of Oregon and First Lady Cylvia Hayes reside, has just undergone a series of energy efficiency upgrades: insulation, storm windows, LED lights, and a crucial plug to an attic hole. Hayes, who took reporters on a tour of the 90-year-old Governor’s Mansion, says the improvements have lowered taxpayer-footed utility bills. Chris Lehman took the tour for our news partner OPB.
