Week seven of the new Portland Radio Project (PRP) and Portland Center Stage (PCS) concert series “Local Spins” features a very fine partnership between two creatives: singer-songwriter Michele Van Kleef and guitarist (among many, many other talents) Tim Ellis.
“Michele has ideas, she’s a writer and performer” says Tim. Both are icons of the Portland scene, and together they make nuanced music that fills the heart and feeds the soul. In 2013, Inessa talked with them about the intimate elements that comprise their sound. “He knows me and what I do” says Michele of Tim. And we’re the grateful recipients of the organic layering their collaboration creates.
Tap into this sonic authenticity during Portland Radio Project’s Local Spins session on Tuesday, October 27, 6:30 pm at the the historic Armory in the Pearl District.
Concert admission is free and open to the public. (No show ticket is required.) However, if you plan to attend a Local Spins concert, and would like to stay and see that night’s PCS play, enter the promo code: LOCALSPIN at pcs.org to get $10 off show tickets.
