Welcome Trixie Pop! Dennise and DJ EQueen are psyched to keep you company with fabulous local music on this foggy, rainy Portland winter day.
Twin Peaks is returning to television, just as Laura Palmer promised. Showtime will run nine new episodes, starting in 2016. More information here.
We are psyched to again have in the studio Ryan from Ill Lucid Onset, who have a big show coming up at Mississippi Studios this Thursday; it will be recorded to create their next album, so plan to be there to help make history. Ill Lucid Onset recently played at the legendary Whiskey A Go Go, where they caught the attention of Al Borde, who posted a wonderful review and interview. Thanks for stopping by, Ryan!
The Cry will be in studio on January 28, just a few days after their upcoming show at the Sandy Hut in Northeast Portland. In March, they’ll be headed to Italy for a run of European gigs. We also heard today from Otis Heat and Wil Kinky. You can see The Lower 48 at Hood River’s River City Saloon next Saturday night.
Help put Smart, Friendly, Local radio on the air with a tax-deductible donation to Portland Radio Project. Donations up to $200 will be matched by a donor!
See you next weekend, when we will host Nicole Lane, director of the Fertile Ground Festival. We are looking forward to attending performances and sharing our thoughts with you on the radio and in blog posts.
And for your daily dose of adorable, head on over to facebook to see perhaps the youngest fan of Portland’s 0wn Mbrascatu rock out with his interpretation of “San Francisco Bar”: Post by Franca Bartkiewicz.
