What are you doing to celebrate the turning of one year to another? Brownish Black, featured on today’s show, is throwing a party with The Sentiments and the Get Ahead at the Secret Society. Dennise will be cozying up at home with a bottle of bubbly and a stack of good books, and DJ EQueen will be rocking the dance floor to the tunes of The Motet and Portland’s own DJ Weather at Crystal Ballroom.

It’s time to make plans for 2015! Fertile Ground is hosting its annual city-wide fringe festival of performing arts. Local artists will be putting on original shows — most never seen before — in venues all over the city. You can see dance, staged readings, plays, and more, all for a very low-cost festival pass. The festival runs from January 22 to February 1 and will offer an outstanding opportunity to see great local artists doing their work! Find out more here, and we’ll see you there!
