Inspired by the food cart scene in both London and Portland, English native Chris Payne and his wife Holli are serving their twist on the culinary culture of the midlands of the UK. Located on SW Oak at 5th, the Kingsland Kitchen’s menu draws from the varied food styles of the Caribbean, India, Italy and of course, England.

Acting on a dream, the Paynes moved to Holli’s home town of Portland in 2014 after time spent in both Hollywood, CA, and the Midlands of England. They arrived in Portland with the goal of opening a food cart. After a year of preparation, Chris and Holli began serving their sandwiches, including weekly specials, in February of 2015 during the ‘lunch hours’ of 11 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
