Yes, you read that right. Happy Valley Station is giving away a food cart that is 100% ready. Everything you would need to get started—in terms of a ready-for-food-service food cart—is the prize. The 8×16 cart will have a fryer, an oven, a griddle, a hood, two burners, and three sinks.

The food cart giveaway and Happy Valley Station are the creation of food cart pod entrepreneur Valerie Hunter. Designed as a destination pod, Happy Valley Station, will be home to 26 carts that will include some of Portland’s best. Olé Latte Coffee, A Cajun Life, Mama’s Minis, E-San Thai, Zeek’s Cheese Grill, Cackalack’s Hot Chicken Shack, and the 30 Taps beer cart just to name few.

Happy Valley Station will be a 96 by 40 foot, covered, heated pavilion with five big screen TV’s, a large children’s play area, horseshoe games and off-street parking. The pavilion will be open year-round with seating for two hundred people in the covered area. This unique pod is located at 145th and Sunnyside Road out in Happy Valley.

And now, back to the free food cart. To have a chance to win the cart you’ll need to purchase a raffle ticket. Five tickets will be picked from a barrel at the raffle drawing to be held on November 14, 2015 at Happy Valley Station. On December 5th, 2015, Five judges will interview each of the winners and sample five examples of their food. Between December 5th and December 18th, 2015, the public will have their chance to chime in via Facebook.
