A wonderfully folksy one! But shhh… don’t tell anyone that Portland’s own duo, Goose & Fox, played an amazing show at the Secret Society Ballroom Thursday night.

Since the release of their new album back in November, PRP has been streaming their title track “My Mouth, the Sea” and what a great opportunity to see their beautiful arrangements in real time action! The opening performances were also a great surprise; Portland bands, The Domestics, and The Royal Blue.

Noah Woodburn and Allison Hall, (Goose & Fox), are a sweet and powerful duo. Noah’s simple, yet very original guitar arrangements bring forth a great platform for both voices to meet up and harmonize. It was also a treat to have the full band behind the brilliantly written songs. Joining them on stage was a very well thought-out group of friends and instrumentalists.

The fusion of french horn, trumpet, pedal steel, and upright bass created a satisfyingly full rendition of their sound…
