In case you missed PRP’s coverage of the two dancing sisters, Kiera Brinkley and Uriah Boyd, and their compelling personal and creative relationship – we’re reposting here.
Since our story, other media outlets in PDX have started paying attention too.

For Portland Filmmaker Susan Hess Logeais, her SOAR project has truly been a labor of love. Susan has been working with Kiera and Uriah for more than two years, capturing extraordinary personal and performance moments.
Despite a Kickstarter Campaign that was 99 percent funded (sadly, Kickstarter only distributes funds when a project reaches 100 percent), Susan remains committed and undaunted. She’s launched another crowd-funding campaign through a website called Seed & Spark.
And, she’s organized and is producing a live event at the Newmark Theater that will feature Kiera and Uriah performing their SOAR duet. The sisters’ stunning piece will be preceded by performances from Polaris Dance Theater, The Portland Ballet, Kemba Shannon Dance Center and the Jefferson Dancers.
Undoubtedly, the April 21 (curtain up at 7:30 p.m.) celebration will be a don’t miss, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Portland dance community shine, shimmer and soar.
Tickets to the LIVE Soar Performance, Monday, April 21, 2014, 7:30 p.m
Note: All day-of-show tickets are now $10.00 for the SOAR Dance Concert & Documentary Finale. Purchase at the box office or online.
