For my first episode of 2017 we had The Adio Sequence join us in studio to talk about new music, recap 2016, and their plans for the new year. Jen Emerson and I had plenty to chat about with the guys because they have been busy in the studio over the last few months. The PDX Spotlight playlist featured new tracks from local artists, Courtney Noe, Ashley Xtina, and Small Million. We were also treated to selections from the band that showcased their current influences. Some of these artists were Panic! At The Disco, The Weekend, VULFPECT, DNCE, and more! One of my favorite parts of the show was when Jen asked the band about their thoughts on the PDX music scene. As always the group gave us their insight on the scene, bands that they like to work with, and unique ways to create content for fans.
Happy 2017 and I hope you enjoy our intiverw with The Adio Sequence!
At my core, I am a musician, songwriter, producer, studio owner/engineer, and, most importantly, a lover of all things music. It is my goal to help connect listeners to local artists. I believe we should all be searching for the next thing that inspires us.
I am originally from Arizona, where over many years, I played in several different independent bands in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. I put in many, many hours of grassroots-style promotion in order to get my bands heard. I am excited to be a part of Portland Radio Project where I can provide an avenue to local Portland musicians to share their art.
