THE BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS of LITTLE SHOP
As the Fall Season at Portland Center Stage takes off on its merry way, another chance to speak with the actors who make the engines run. It’s a New York City cast, fully enjoying the early autumn weather and vibe of Portland. Our actor, Nick Cearley, in the role of Seymour, talks about the attitude of “everything is fine” that exists here.
The play is fulfilling a childhood fantasy of Nick’s. To be part of the Muppets show. It’s as close as he will get, in doing this show, he told us. And since comedy is part of his heart and soul, we talked about the importance of satire and laughing, anytime, but especially in our current political season.
