Got the health care blues? Portland’s original Boogie Cat Norman Sylvester does too. So again this year, he’s helping organize the HEALTH CARE FOR ALL OREGON fundraiser with music, dancing, and food April 22, 2017.

Norman will join Portland Radio Project with Nastacia Voisin and Rebecca Webb on Wednesday April 19, at 9:45 am to talk and sing about the importance of health care to everyone.

As an event sponsor, PRP will donate a fun auction item: a bidder’s chance to be a guest DJ on PRP!

Says Norman:

“We urge everyone to find out about the movement for Universal Healthcare in our State by going to www.hcao.org . We need to stay engaged after this threat to the Affordable Care Act was defeated and think about what is wrong with our current system. The problem is our for-profit insurance companies with no regulations!

A Universal system would replace insurance providers and health facilities making lavish profits and put those dollars to work giving our citizens healthcare. The movement is growing around the country and locally HCAO is working towards a vote in 2020! Musicians know all too well that people are still facing medical bankruptcy, suffering illnesses & more tragic even dying because of the lack of good health coverage. That is why this event is such a success every year.” April 22, 2017 5:00pm ~ 12:00am
