Last month the food company warmed most people’s hearts with an entry into it’s “This Is Wholesome” advertising campaign that featured real life gay fathers along with other scenes of family life. Then came the homophobic backlash, which Honey Maid could have easily ignored. But they didn’t. Instead they responded with another commercial in which the hate messages are transformed into one word.
