It’s official – you can now bike from Troutdale to Cascade Locks without having to ride on the shoulder of I-84.
A new segment of the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail has been opened to the public.
The 1.6 mile trail ranges from the John B. Yeon State Park trailhead to the Moffett Creek Bridge.
The $8 million project was the final installment of a 34-mile ride between Troutdale and Cascade Locks, 26 of which are along the historic highway.
