DROP-IN SESSIONS
On PRP live shows and beyond!
As a nonprofit community-based media resource, Portland Radio Project provides the local music scene with not only space on our airwaves for their music (did you know we play a local artist every 15 minutes?), but we go one big step beyond that…DROP-IN SESSIONS!
What is a Drop-In Session? So glad you asked…
A Drop-In Session is our PRP branded platform where we interview musicians, cultural change agents, and all-around artistic folks to bring our listener’s insight and perhaps a new perspective into our PNW music community.
We invite PNW musicians to come to the PRP studio and promote an upcoming show. Or a new album release. Or maybe even a spoken word performance or stage event. Really, the sky is the limit!
Artists and musicians are able to take part in a formatted interview and talk about how they found their way into the arts, how they make their musical magic happen, and give the listening audience a peek inside their worlds. And because we love a good tune, musicians are encouraged to perform live or provide new exclusive music heard first on Portland Radio Project.
Here’s the best part…not only are PRP listeners getting the scoop on upcoming shows and new music from local artists, but the musicians themselves also get interview experience, free promotional opportunities, and a professionally compiled addition to their media kit!
Check out our most recent Drop-In Sessions…and if you’re a local musician, request one today!
