Drop-In Session with She's Speaking

She’s Speaking creates forums and spaces where women’s voices and artistry, historically underrepresented, can be heard by all people. The concept grew out of a sense of isolation during the pandemic, starting as a YouTube channel with more than 70 incredible women songwriters performing songs they’d composed about women who inspired them. The project grew into a live stream event hosted by Seattle blues artist Lady A. And by the tail end of 2021 She’s Speaking Live, the project’s first live in person performance, took place at the Alberta Rose Theatre and has grown into the She’s Speaking Live Roadshow.

She’s Speaking co-founder, and the voice of local band Red Bird, Bre Gregg along with Oregon Jazz Hall of Fame inductee Marilyn Keller joined us for our latest Sounds of PDX to talk all things She’s Speaking…and we were listening!
