Back in the heat of July and the Waterfront Blues Festival, Cooper and her band floored us. And even better, the chance to sit down on the couch with Cooper and her soul-sister Brianne was just the new best thing of that day!

Since then, Cooper and her band have charged through the Northwest a whole load of times, jumping from Nashville and back again, to shows throughout the summer, fall and now the end of an amazing year.

I don’t think it takes too much effort on her part to convince an audience of anything. But Cooper doesn’t do anything halfway anyway. So we get her on all cylinders. And the chance to see Cooper and the Jam in the intimate and wonderful Alberta Rose Theater? Thrilling.

Looking Back to the Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival

Watch our video interview above to find out why Mr. Plank had all of us laughing so hard (about 30 seconds into the video).

Need More Convincing? O.k., check out a little piece of the Blues Festival action on that Sunday afternoon and a rehearsal earlier in the week at our very own Mountain Air Studios.

On the big Miller Stage at Waterfront Park, and in the cozy confines of Mountain Air Studios in Brooklyn-Portland.
