We were making waves for our latest episode of Community Voices….

Make Waves is a groundbreaking music education model based in the Portland Metro Area. Their aim is to breathe new life into existing music programs which were designed to reach communities with gaps in educational services. They provide this support through giving students their own instruments to keep, funding private music lessons, engaging in community outreach, and encouraging diverse hiring practices. 

Founder and Managing Director Kina Lyn Muir joined us in the PRP studio to discuss the importance of supporting music education and the organizations efforts to put the pedal to the metal with mobile instrument repair.
