It is our goal at Portland Radio Project to give our audience every opportunity to learn more about nonprofit organizations doing amazing work in the community. And we do that with our Community Voices platform.
APANO – Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon – focuses on key areas of community organizing, policy advocacy, civic engagement, leadership development, community development, and cultural work.
We had the chance to speak with Marchel Marcos (Political Director at APANO) and Coua Xiong (Advocacy Director at APANO Communities United Fund) about the distinction between APANO (c4 organization) and APANO CUF (c3 organization), goals relative to Oregon’s current legislative session and the Advocacy Summit taking place on February 18th at Mekong Bistro.
Please take a moment to hear Coua and Marchel address the importance of APANO and APANO CUF’s ongoing mission to build power, develop leaders, and advance equity through organizing, advocacy, community development, and cultural work.
