It’s a day of cleanin’ and greenin’ on June 3rd…
The Central Eastside Industrial Council ensures a vibrant, prosperous, and welcoming Central Eastside Industrial District for businesses, customers and employees. And with that mission in mind, the CEIC team has worked tirelessly to put together a one day event – Central Eastside “Clean & Green” Community Day – on June 3rd from 9am to 2pm.
For our latest Community Voices segment, we had the opportunity to speak to Program Manager Avery Morris and Director of Marketing & Business Strategy Carolyne Holcomb about the work of the CEIC and the importance of this event. Along side event partners such as SOLVE, Human Access Project, Wasabi Paddling Club and a slew of volunteers, the day is set to beautify the Eastbank Esplanade – the Central Eastside’s gateway to the Willamette River.
What else is in store for this Community Day? Cold brew from Water Avenue Coffee Company, ice cream from Salt & Straw and tunes from Portland Radio Project. That’s right, we’ll be there broadcasting live!
