In the market for a new music release that both soothes, and motivates?

Celeste’s “Not Your Muse” is one not to miss.

Released last month, the album alternates between exquisitely introspective ballads and upbeat party tracks. For example, wonderfully euphoric “Tonight Tonight” is rich, colorful pop with a great hook and a cool retro vibe.

The UK singer-songwriter was in lockdown much of last year, cutting short her tour but staying busy working on new music.

Her debut album showcases heart-stopping vocals and includes the brooding, popular “Strange.” Written and recorded in Los Angeles during the 2018 California wildfires, Celeste calls it “a tale of lost friendships and broken relationships.”

Opening track “Ideal Woman” is mournful, soulful pop at its finest. “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know” delivers a message of discouragement in the most exuberant of styles.

And “Love is Back” is the optimism we need right now.

More about Celeste

The American-born British-Jamaican soul singer released the heady “Stop this Flame” EP last year. Her engaging remixes featured powerhouse vocals along with great percussion and synth.

Overall, “Stop this Flame” was a perfect pick-me-up for everyone with Covid isolation blues.

Celeste Waite was the recipient of the BRITs’ Rising Star Award last February. Prior winners include James Bay, Sam Smith and Adele.

On the new album, watch especially for Celeste’s phenomenal, jaw-dropping vocals on “A Kiss” – but keep the tissues close by.

A talent sure to endure

Debut albums as impressive as “Not Your Muse” don’t come along every day. Here, Celeste shows the world she’s an exceptional vocalist and musician, poised to be a star.

To sum up? Musically speaking, Celeste’s “Not Your Muse” is destined to endure.
