Although Jackpot Records says it’s still “committed to helping hungry minds and ears discover new sounds and grow their music collections” as of June 30th, the’ll close their downtown location permanently.
In a May 1 post on Facebook, Jackpot Records says the S.E. Hawthorne store will remain open for Portland’s music minded community.
Owner Isaac Slusarenko, who got his start in the business as a clerk at Django Records, says the move will allow “more focus and time into projects like the Jackpot Records label now in it’s tenth year.”
