“American Hustle” and “Twelve Years a Slave” took top honors at last night’s Golden Globes, the awards widely perceived as a harbinger of the Oscars.
“Hustle,” a disco-era con artist caper, garnered three Globes: for best picture – and for its top actresses, Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence.
After being overlooked all evening, the pre-Civil War true story “Slave,” took the night’s top prize for best drama.
Leonardo DiCaprio, won his second Globe for best actor in a comedy – for his work in “The Wolf of Wall Street.” Cate Blanchett was named best actress in a drama for her role in “Blue Jasmine.”
Popular TV series “Breaking Bad” took home best TV drama.
