It’s a lineup of legends: The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Beatles’ Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, and The Who.
You know their names, the iconic music they invented, and the legacy they still carry on. And now these titans of rock-n’-roll are gathering to present a nostalgic, highlight reel of 20th Century music at what could be called the granddaddy of music festivals.
Meet Desert Trip 2016: a first-of-its-kind festival that will gather rock icons for a three-day concert at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Opening Oct. 7-9, the event has added a second weekend, Oct. 14-16, and promises to draw sold-out crowds of golden-age experience seekers and young rock enthusiasts alike.
The lure of witnessing the biggest names of classic rock means tickets have sold faster than you could say “Oldchella.” It’s no surprise that folks are paying hundreds of dollars to attend this weekend of unforgettable music and memories. Tickets are drying up fast, but you can still nab a ticket or two if it fits your budget…or you can do something far simpler: Tune in to Portland Radio Project.
That’s right folks, we’re holding a drawing for two pairs of tickets to Desert Trip 2016!
Here’s how to enter: Between now and Monday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. head over to our support page and make a $50 donation to PRP. You’ll be automatically entered to win a pair (2) of tickets to the second weekend, Oct. 14-16, a three-day event. We’ll draw two (2) winners Oct. 10 at 10:30 a.m. during the Monday Music Muse show. Every $50 donation equals one entry in the drawing, and there’s no limit to the number of times you can enter.
Note: Tickets are event admission only, and do not include airfare or lodging.
Support quality, commercial-free radio, set your sights on Desert Trip 2016, and rock on!
