Jason Amare on Sounds of PDX: Anthems and Anthemic Music

Even in the middle of negativity and the issues we see today, we can still find hope, inspiration, and power in music. On this episode of Sounds of PDX it was my pleasure to welcome back to the show, Jason Amare to discuss Anthems and the songs that lift us. I always enjoy my time with Jason and find our conversations dig into deep and meaningful topics. Some of the artists we featured on the PDX Spotlight Playlist were Pearl Jam, The Cabin Project, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder and much more. The Talk Board was filled with listeners telling us what inspires them. It’s my hope that you can listen to our interview, find some peace, and help us spread positivity.

Please enjoy my interview with the extremely talented and inspiring Jason Amare.

I host "Sounds of PDX" every Tuesday from 7-9pm.

At my core, I am a musician, songwriter, producer, studio owner/engineer, and, most importantly, a lover of all things music. It is my goal to help connect listeners to local artists. I believe we should all be searching for the next thing that inspires us.

I am originally from Arizona, where over many years, I played in several different independent bands in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. I put in many, many hours of grassroots-style promotion in order to get my bands heard. I am excited to be a part of Portland Radio Project where I can provide an avenue to local Portland musicians to share their art.
